4age engines

hey there,recenly was looking on the website trdsales and i saw 4age engines advertised on there,there wasnt much info about the engines just that they were an insanely expensive amount like between 8-10 grand usd,does anyone know what sorta power these things r putting out and if they have a common name to which they r referred too?

My guess is that you were looking at the Atlantic racing ones??? Those things are insane :twisted:

Atlantics are about 240hp..

It would probably be undrivable on the street though.

u reckon? ys that? too much power? would it b possible? and thats non turbo right? do u reckon it would decimate an ITR?

Undriveable because it would take 6000rpm+ to make the thing move anywhere at a normal pace, it would idle about 2K, and run soley on avgas.

So pretty much as useable and sociable as a PP rotary on the street really.

People do that all the time with the wee mazdas, so hey, go for it :lol:

For that money you would be lucky to get a very very second hand Atlantic engine. I think you'll find its more like a standard 4age with a stack of TRD components.

You won't get an Atlantic to run on avgas unless you retard the ignition amongst other things.

And yes, totally and utterly useless on the street. Still I haven't driven one with the 9k RPM restriction. I would guess they have a much better mid end.
