Weber carbs

Postby ollieboy » Wed Apr 12, 2006 11:54 pm

Hey hey.

I got a hold of a weber carb off a cortina, I'm just hoping its the right one for a 4k, could someone let me know if it is? Oh well I got it for free so if it isn't its no loss and I know where theres more off a cortina of different kinds so I will be able to get the right one. Very<br />Happy

Its similar or exactly the same as this one.

If its the right one I'm going to give it an acid bath, theres nothing vital on it that can be destroyed by bathing it is there? And with the adapter plate for a 4K how much would I expect to pay for one so I don't get ripped off.

Cheers

What is pictured in Pic 2? It looks like something to do with water, once again can I do without it?

the item in pic.2, is the water feed and return for the automatic choke.

the adapters are $55 from Philspeed. the other option is to get a plate tig welded to the manifold and fit studs accordingly.

the Ramflo style air filters are $80-100 from repco.

I got one of these on my 180b race car, you will need to get it re jet'd for a 4k as they were off 2 litre cars and so will be set up accordingly - other than that it should be ok on your car. Mine goes well on the datto :)
