Catalytic converter warning - uzz30 soarer

Postby UTERUS » Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:39 pm

The digi dash in the soarer dings at me every few minutes and tells me in japanese that the cats are bung. Has anyone had a warning for catalytic converters before, any idea what goes wrong with them and what i can do?

Cheers,
Simon
It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact

they clog up, either oil or carbon etc.
the light comes on to indicate high temp, causeed by the extra restriction from being clogged up.

no point trying to clean them out, they are a pita.

2 options
1 replace them.
2 just cut them out and weld a pice of tube in place

Oh yup, i was going to leave them in as long as possible so when the new exhuast emissions law comes into place i didnt have to get the cats put back in.

Could be worth upgrading to high flowing catalytic converters then?
