paint temperature resistance

hey all ive just sanded and sprayed my engine bay (as it wasnt done when the car was ) plus ihad the car awaiting its new engine, ive done it all now but i just thought,

will the paint withstand the heat?

i did this myself with motortech spray cans, and its mint only two dribble marks in the whole engine bay!!!

so yea what do you think? should i resand it down and spray it with high temperature paint or will any old paint do the job, any help appreciated

Normal spray paint seems to stand up on engine blocks so I'd imagine it would be alright on the engine bay. Surely its not going to get any real heat into it

should be fine. the most important part is the prep work- making sure engine bay is oil free and sanded down a little. Otherwise, it will stand up to engine bay temps fine.
