4age stalling...

Postby Pies » Tue Apr 25, 2006 12:10 am

motor is a big port (blue top) running in an ae92 gt sedan (dont ask why)

problem is, after its warmed up it will stall very easily if you take your foot off the gas. its alright if you ease the revs down but if you suddenly take your foot off the gas, 8 times out of 10 it will stall. have checked for vacume leaks and leaks in the air intake. checked air filter. any other ideas?

if you take your foot off slowly and it idles, what does it idle at?

maybe you need to bump the idle up a tad for the warm idle?

check if "dashpot" thing is working - I'm not sure if bluetops have them but it is sort of vacuum actuator which pushes the throttle open for a second or so when you let off the gas, it should be somewhere arround throttle linkage area....
