vvt testing

Postby Dirtbag » Fri Apr 28, 2006 5:47 pm

I just read revheads little exert on testing the vvt py applying 12v to the solenoid, exactly how do I get to the solenoid? I looked at the video, but still kinda baffled, I am a real n00b when it comes to engines.

My silvertop 20v is making the major ticking noise, kinda sounds tractorish/dieselish, so would I be correct in assumthing this is propably something wrong with the vvt pulley or sumthing?

If the ticking goes away under the 12v, I have a buggered pulley right?

Where can I source these? Best to buy new ones I spose?
