Who supplies tein suspension

Postby trd-drifting » Tue May 02, 2006 10:01 pm

ok is there any any one in nz that supplies tein suspension in hamilton as i am after 3 top hats (I think that what they called.. I no next to nothing about coilovers) for some tein adjustable coilovers. Or can i use the factory ones in my mkiii (supra) i doubt it because springs sizes will be different.

Any help or getting pointed in the right direction will be awesome... Thanks

Um well i just have the shocks and springs and they are adjustable. Um i thought you would need new like top hats so they would be captive casue i thought the springs would be differnet, they are specific to my car so are you saying i dont... Any tools i need besides your standard tools. Also to change ride hight when in the car is that possiable and how... Just trying to sort evrything out before weeknd as i want to put in hehe

Im not sure if I understand correctly, but you have a set of Teins with no top springseat or tophat? In general you should be able to use the factory top hats, but you will need the Tein (or other sim) spring seat as the coils are likely to be 60mm coils which are most likely smaller than your factory coils - so the tein springs will not locate correctly with your stock spring seats.

yeh like said, u should have a spring seat. this sits ontop of the spring, then ur factory top hat sits ontop of that. no u cannot change the ride height inside the car, u adjust the ride height by threading the bottom cup up or down. there is only limited height adjustment.
