With the stock 232 degree cams the car used to rev ok, but around 4-5000 would start to feel restricted, just didnt feel very free but still went ok.
Now with the new 240 degree cams, it feels like an entirely new motor, when revving it out, you dont feel the power starting to taper off until over 7000rpm its also alot smoother all the way through the rev range. Doesnt feel like its made a much of a difference peak power wise, but a massive difference in the power delivery, revving so much smoother and faster it was DEFINATELY worth the swap.
Along with this I installed a T3 Cam gear on the intake side, and advanced it 3 degrees.
So all in all im $$% stoked, and glad I did it. But im still wondering what the $$% the methheads at Toyota were thinking when they put the smaller cams with lower lift in the Red Top Bigport???
