Not the I could see at time of putting the box in there, but will have this re-checked just to be safe. (see comment below about quick shifter)

Yes & No, had to rebuild the blue top as it run a bearing on number 2, ended up replacing crank (slight crack), number 2 con-rod, all bottom end bearings new gaskets etc.
The replacement re-built T50 (20 spline) was brought in and swapped for the existing T50 (22 spline) which had major internal issues. At the same time a quick shift selector was added which has an additional base plate that raises it about 10 or so mm which I had to cut the trans tunnel to ensure clearance for the bolt in the bottom right hand corner (direction from sitting in drivers seat)

Was your issue due to pressure being applied by the boot on the gear stick? If so I assume that removing that pressure resolved it?
