ecu remapping

hi,

anyone have any experience with this? I'm looking for some gear to hook the stock toyota ecu into my laptop for tuning and maybe an air/fuel meter too. anyone know if any of this is available in nz?

Cant be done as Toyota doesnt release its source to many tuners. Have a search to find out more.

You can get the daughterboards & stuff to do it from Japan, Techtom & the likes do them, but last time I checked it looked expensive & complicated & an aftermarket ecu looked way easier & more than likely cheaper in the long run if you include the cost of tuning etc.

To run a Toyota? You'd be better off going with a proper aftermarket ECU.
