running motor in on dyno

Postby deaf_rattle » Mon May 29, 2006 8:25 pm

once the 7mgte is rebuilt ill be running it in on a dyno, has anyone done this? im expecting it to take an hour, as the first 20mins are the most critical.

how much roughly should it cost?

Going to start ringing around, but probably not till closer to the time

cheers

no way keep it off the motorway, you need to vary the revs and keep load on the motor!

So a build up to full race speed over 15 laps at Taupo should have been about right after rebuilding the silvertop?

You could drive through the suburbs until you get to some of the Targa roads around Huntly which will certainly give you variations in revs - a bit like Murph did on his way to Huntly for the celebrity races!!

i think the dyno at high velocity is $120 an hour, but you'd have to call gavin and check
