16v block vs. 20v block

Postby Hachiroku » Sun Jun 04, 2006 10:14 pm

Is there any difference between the two? Will a 16v head go straight onto a 20v block? Its for rwd so I don't want to dick around with water pipes, dizzy etc. but I do want high compression and stronger bottom end.

heads and blocks are all interchangable. Although some will require mods to get all the external bits to hook up...
There are five different blocks.
Bluetop, Redtop big port, redtop small port, silvertop, blacktop. Small differences in each.
If all you're after is the stronger internals then just swap a smallport internals into your bluetop block. They all bolt over and will give you what you want.

Check the FAQ section for all the info you're looking for.

I don't claim to know everything... That doesn't mean it isn't true....
