generally a tune is around $500 from what I have seen others on here pay & quote, maybe a little bit more, would have thought that $1000 would be a bit rich

For a Link LEM I'd allow 4-8hours & for a LinkPlus G2 I'd allow 8+hours depending on how serious you are & how good your dyno & tuner are. It will depend alot on modifications/problems etc. In saying that is is possible to come in way under those times depending on the car/modifications & it's also possible to go over those estimates if there are problems.

$700 to tune my PFC and all I got was a broken motor.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

average cost to use dyno is $150 per hour + the tuner average $60-$100 per hour,
doesnt take long to add up.

from what ive experienced road tuning will cost you around $300

Not to mention Road tuning is DANGEROUS & STUPID & can also cost you your car, license, & LIFE. The road is just one more thing for you & the tuner to focus on & distract you away from doing your tuning. In saying that if you want to road tune by all means go ahead & do it, just I don't recommend or participate in it.

from the road tuning ive had done, its not dangerous as long as your not an idiot and trying to do it at high speeds.

generally you drive and the tuner tunes.
i personally think its an excellent way to get a good base to work with, then off to dyno to perfect it.

Mine was $440, full tune, including a set of plugs (i had picked the wrong heat range) on my LEM v5 4agte.

Dyno tune that is. To 8psi, and 7000rpm.

Will go back in a month or two (new motor) to get it wound up to 7500 and 14 psi.

Give Udy Automotive a ring in Morrinsville as well. Have heard good things about them.
