Bluetop run with Redtop ECU.

Postby Crampy » Mon Jun 19, 2006 12:24 am

Hi all.
I have an AE92 FXGT with a big port T-VIS 4AGE (Apparently shite engines).
I'm looking to get a replacement engine (My one is a bit poked) and have found a Bluetop for a good price. Can I put the bluetop in and run the existing Redtop loom and computer?

Cheers.

Yep will be sweet, just be sure to use all the red top injectors + sensors etc.

Good as.
I've heard the Bluetops rev out better than the Redtop jobbies, due to the bottom end being a bit overkill on the Redtops. Is that true?
So, if I put a Bluetop in, it should rev out a bit more freely?
Also having the slightly bigger cams...

yeah they have lighter internals, however the c/r is different.

Redtop smallport is the best, however pretty spendy as people are starting to realise this.

Bluetops are mint tho, go for it
