I used to run my stock to 8.2k RPM.
The modified ones in offroad racing seem to be able to run to 9K RPM without too many issues.
Forget those stock rods though.

Dont forget that the Link soft cut 200 RPM before the limiter.

Is it the rods or the rodbolts that go?

the rods.

they are fine for street use. but if u use them for motorsport where u need to sit on 7500+ for any length of time its a matter of when not if you end up with this:

Mines still set at the factory 7800, Max power is at 7600 according to my last dyno run so no need to rev it much over that anyway.
Although I've manage to get it over 8K once on my sard digital rev counter when I went from 5th to 2nd :!:
