Reverse Light not working?! AE101 help?

Postby DB4G63 » Sat Jul 29, 2006 9:42 am

Hi All

Had a stereo installed last week by a friend, however now Ive noticed my reverse lights are not working....(AE101 GTZ)
Im not sure if its related to the stereo install or not, since I was there, and the wires appeared to be all the right ones.
It seems kinda weird that BOTH reverse lights arent working at the same time.

Ive pulled the lights off and checked the bulbs which appear to be fine.
Ive checked the fuses both inside the footwell AND in the engine bay.
What should I do now?

:?

:D Thank you!!

Im guessing this is on the gearbox itself? or is this under the gear selector?

Man its hard to see what Im looking at...
Ill post some small pics up.
I see a small grey plug on the very top, but it appears plugged in.

Should I try changing the bulbs anyway?

A friend of mine whos experienced with car stereos installed a stereo two weeks ago...is it possible he buggered some wire? Do the rear light wires run up the centre console at all?

I had a rear bulb blow tonite ( dash light came on...so I have to change it anyway)
