Or the 12 year olds hanging around Repco can think that

If you can put it in yourself and find someone to get you a cheap cam then it shouldn't cost you more than a couple of hundred. Probably the best way to spend your cash, plus it will give you a nice idle

3K or even better 3KB head will bump your compression up, which should give you a useful boost, without much outlay.

Find a cheap 3kb head for me then and the say it gives more useable power than a mild cam.
Actually if you find a cheap 3kb head can you let me know, i sold my last one with the motor it was on, the guy who was buying it suddenly had to come down for some reason or another and i didn't get a chance to swap it over with a 3 k one i have lying around

Yup, bolts straight up. If you cam it you'll want to bump the compression up anyway to get the best out of it.
Camgrind will set you back the better part of $200 by itself, plus facing the lifters.

3KB head has bigger ports than the stock 3K, and with the mods you've got it'd be absolutely no improvement. Plus people ask $100+ for the damn things.

Got a 2 3KB heads, a 5 speed gearbox, a complete 3K engine and a minta 2Dr KP60 shell and running gear for a box of Speights.

The guy I got them from was moving house and his wife told him to get rid of his project car. (KP60).

I went there to buy a set of twin carbs for the KP62 from him and checked out his other spare parts. I didn't have any other spare cash so I just looked and said maybe another time.

He rang me a day later, and asked if I had any room for all the rest of his parts and the KP60 shell. I said 'Yeah, no probs'. He said that I could have the lot for a box of Speights "to wash away the tears of losing his 2 yrs old project". LOL!

Score!!!

:P
