ae101 wiring trouble

Postby Mike- » Mon Oct 23, 2006 8:12 pm

i did search but didnt find anything specific, so heres what has happened

my mate lit his cigarette using the car lighter but when he took it out the lid off a can which was sitting in the tray fell down the hole, when he put the lighter back in lots of stuff stopped working, i now have no stereo, no lighter, no clock, and no fan. ive checked all the ordinary fuses under the bonnet, they were all good,

when i put a multimeter across where the fuses should be the one called "Fan-i/UP 7.5A" had no voltage with the key turned on and the fan turned on.

could it be one of the not so normal looking fuses that has blown and caused this to break maybe? or have i fried some wires? i dont think i fried wires because there was no burning insulation smell.

Any input appreciated.

Mike

hey, there should be a seperate fuse holder on the drivers side, probably to the right of the accelerator pedal.
there will be a blown fuse in there...

hope this helps
