LED indicator Flasher unit wiring

Postby soopachargen » Wed Nov 15, 2006 8:56 pm

My little bro has LED truck taillights on the back of his b1600 so the indicators flash too fast. He went to an autosparky and the guy sold him a 2 pin, non load sensitive flasher relay. He got home and took the old flasher relay out and found that its a 3 pin relay. Can he wire it up to work with the 2 pin relay? 2 pin has a posi terminal and one labeled L. 3 pin has on labelled E, one called B and one called L.
Any ideas on wiring it or should he just take it back and try swap for a 3 pin relay. If so will the wiring be the same as the one from his ute?
When in doubt, down and out.

B stands for Battery, E stands for Earth, and L stands for Lamp, hopefully that helps? Oh also be careful, not all 3 pin relays have the same pin layout! if the 2 pin one doesn't work and you end up going for a 3 pin one, might pay to take your old one in to compare with
