springs?

Postby kyes » Mon Dec 18, 2006 11:52 am

okay I dont have a toyota but you all seem realatively knowlegable (or think you are) so maybe you could help. Would i have to get a certian type of springs to lower down my pergoet 306 or are springs a pretty universial thing with most cars? Iv got some 17's to put on it but im worried it'll jack it up and look homo.

You can get your stock springs compressed. Go to Chamberlins. If you're really cheap, take them out yourself just take the springs in, then they'll do you a good cash job.

I hope you got the right PCD for your 306, I imagine its an unusual one and those 17's you've got are probably 4 x 100/114.3.

Have you trial fitted the wheels? Probably a good idea before you put tyres on them and find out they don't fit.

um my stud attern is 4 x 108 and i found a set of 4 x 108 and got them shipped down from the north island and they told me they would fit my car so i assume so. im not sure what PCD means sorry.
Is it expensive to get them compresed? (and yes i am slightly cheep lol) Or would it be cheaper to try and find some that would fit?

PCD is stud pattern, and it's probably cheaper and a lot less hassle to get your stock springs compressed :)

your 17s shouldnt jack up your car. as you should try get the wheel and tyres overall diameter very close to your original(you can do this by putting on a lower profile tire).if not your speedo will go outa whack.ild say go with the compressed springs as your cars relitivily uncommon but just make sure they stay captive.
