AE82 FXGT Manual conversion

Postby redline racer » Wed Dec 27, 2006 7:52 pm

Hi, have an 1984 ae82 corolla FX GT automatic that im thinking of converting to manual. The questions i wanted to ask are:

-Is it a straight foward bolt in conversion?
-Are there any hidden problems?
-Are ae92 manual parts compatable without modifications?
-Would the speedo need to be swaped to a manual item? Differnt speedo cables?
-What mods would need to be done to the wiring of the car?

Im compiling a list of the parts i need, so far i have:

Flywheel
gearbox
axels
clutch master cylinder
pedal box
clutch linkages
interior gear stick surround/plastic parts

What else am i missing?

Any advice or input is appreciated.

Cheers

Clutch aswell, (obviously
As for the wiring, just bridge the neutral start switch connector, need to make hole for the clutch cylinder in the firewall, slave cylinder for the gearbox, hydraulic lines for the clutch slave clinder. mounts ,
speedo cable,
should be about it
