Rear brake piston

Postby AE82 FXGT » Thu Dec 28, 2006 3:10 pm

Hey all,

After taking out my rear brakepads and putting some anti squeak stuff on it, I can't push the piston back far enough to allow me to slide the foating part of the caliper on. I opened the reservior in the engine bay and also tried opening the bleed nipple but the piston won't budge, any ideas?

Thanks

Turn it with pliers at the same time as pushing it in...

Concentrate on turning the piston instead of pushing it back. You can buy a fitting for the end of a ratchet to make things easier.
