tail lights wiring/fuse/plug?

Postby Sonic » Thu Jan 04, 2007 3:20 pm

Noticed the other day that my tail lights don't work. Brake lights work fine, just not the ones that glow when the headlights are on. Is there a fuse or something that could have blown (i checked the bulbs and single connection to the lights themselves)? What do I check?

Car is facelight ae92 trueno. Digital dash model.

Cheers

One filament can blow in those bulbs, so check with another good bulb.

Don't spose you've (had) installed a stereo recently??

And there should be a Tail fuse in the kickpanel or under the bonnet (Someone with a AE92 might know which, otherwise just check both  )

May pay to check that you haven't used the illumination feed as a ground then.

The Ill wire will be grounded normally, but hits +12v when you turn your lights on.

managed to at lunch time... the ground i used was definatly ground only. rear lights don't work with no stereo at all either, so i doubt it's related to my install (unless the fuse on illumination blew when i used it in the first attempt?)

So yeah, any one know exactly where the fuse for this is? Or other ideas for that matter..
