can anyone recommend a product that destoys oil residue? my head and collector, is covered in it thick oil.

my degreasers not having much success.

i want something ruthless thatll sripp it right off.

Nah i didnt think you would. Some of those car self cleaning places have them i think though. Take alot less time than petrol. Just watch your electrical gear, plastic bag over the dizzy etc is always good.

what degreaser have you tried? try get a hold of some industrial stuff, that degreases anything!

I either do that, or
bucket of almost boiling water, 2 heaped scoops of clothes/diswasher powder, 1 scoop of diswashing liquid. + scrub
saves on the cost of petrol & mess hoses away easier.

kero and hot water,
or go and buy some alloy acid apply it and hose it off

but ya cant get it on your skin, plastic, rubber or washing machine hoses it kills them pretty quick as well

id recommend "Industrial HDX Performance, heavy-duty degreaser, it works awsome and it gets any amount of crap off, used it when i rebuilt the 4age, and it is safe to spray on rubber and electrical shit aswell,

make sure u do it in a well ventilated area tho, the fumes get 2 u after awhile lol :roll:

What degreaser are you using?
I've used some cheap nasty $2 can stuff from supercheap and it's worked well so far. Some bits took a bit of scrubbing to get it off, but in general it's eaten through everything. Even did a good job of "dissolving" the brown oily/water mix that was in my rangi catch bottle...
