AE85 manual conversion

Postby Xyphoid » Tue Jan 09, 2007 3:14 pm

Hey Guys

Ive nearly finished my manual conversion on my AE85 Trueno but i am stuck on the pedal box. Ive got a manual pedal box out of an ae85 and it doesnt line up on the part that bolts up just above the steering colum. Do i need to modify anything or am I using the wrong pedal box?
I hope this makes sense, any help is appreciated.

Cheers

which part doesn't line up? The bolt holes in the pedal vs the bolt holes in the firewall? or is something interfering? not trying to use clutch pedal where brake pedal goes or vice versa?

It just seems too big to fit in.maybe im taking the wrong path to putting it in.is the manual pedal box straight bolt in or do i have to make some alterations?ie grind it down a bit

when i did the manual conversion in my soarer it just bolted straight in without any modification to the pedal box. as long as the pedal box you have is actually from an ae85 then you shouldn't have to change anything on it, the car should be identical regardless of what transmission it came with from factory?
