Please be aware that RA1's have bugger all grip when cold! - don't kid yourself that you will have them warmed up before someone pulls out in front of you on the way to pick up pizza.
I recommend you don't use them for daily driving!
Don't tell me "the guy I bought them off used them on the road". I use RA1's on the racetrack and I have driven on the set of tyres you now own on the road. Cold they have about as much grip as snow tyres.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

So if your looking at your car from the front and the steering wheel is on the left as you face it,

Does that make your car Left hand Drive?

but vvega has enough nous to know that you can't expect jack from them until thy are warm. they are a semi-racing tyre, not a multi purpose road tyre. on a hot day, they will heat up quick enough, on a cold/wet day they barely will.

make sure you have good insurance and does some tests. they will react differently on different cars.

To be warmed up properly - about 3km of racedriving... Then you have to keep driving like that to keep them warm! They certainly have more grip when cold than a full racing slick tyre but as I said they can be like jappa snow tyres (or a bit worse!).

It says "recommended for competition use only" on the sidewall just next to the direction arrows. This is due to the cold grip levels.

They will cool down if you just drive normally (like to go get a pizza).
Just get your pizza's delivered and you will be fine!

hmmm, when i put my brand new ones that i use for drags on the front, jsut to wear them in a little bit, i found they had heaps of grip from the start, but yes i did find the more i spiritly drove they got a bucket load better,

i felt i didn't need to be worried as much as you guys are saying to be. maybe thats cause i know my cars handling quite well..

If you like toyo and want some decent road tyres... i found the T1R's were excellent when I had my Levin. Amazing grip in the wet, and a decent chunk of tread on them that didn't wear quickly.

it has a arrow and says the word left. <<<<LEFT
pretty simple
the arrow goes the way the wheel turns, when going forward, or with the arrow at the top of the tyre, it points towards the front of the car
