4agze flywheel bolts

Postby flygt4 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 3:29 pm

apparently there is a specified torque setting for 4agze flywheel bolts. i dont think tis really that important but anyone know what it is?
i might just humour toyota and use their chosen settings seeing as i have a torque wrench lying around.

either that or ill put a bit of loctite on the threads and do it up just tight enuf :D

You will find those settings are tight, somewhere between 80 and 120Nm (can't remember exactly)...

The problem with over tightening bolts like that, is that they stretch and are under alot of stress, and can break or lose clamping pressure.

it was a while ago, it was definately at least 60-65ft lbs its not a hell of alot when you look at the makeup of the bolt, and the size. and yes i do know all about over tightening
