k50 alternative filler - bolt rounded

Postby nic32 » Wed Feb 07, 2007 10:37 pm

Hey hey,

I've almost finished putting a 4age into an ae85 - however when I went to
top up the k50 gearbox that I'll be running for a while I found someone had previously rounded it off. Is there some other way to top up this box so that I can drive it to a mechanic to use an oxy plant(another bolt on the box or thru the shifter)? I've given the bolt a good going over but can't shift it - was thinking worst case could jack car up and feed it thru the end of the box.

cheers

The K series ones take just shy of 2.5l. Try using a chisel to get the bolt off, I've had to do that on an old K50.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
