Brakes, upgrade options?

Postby bbq1988 » Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:34 pm

Hey guys, what brakes would you reccomend putting on a ST206 Curren for a bigger upgrade?

Also, who makes extractors for the 3s-ge? price?

Cheers

Start with good brake pads and new fluid. These will fix any fade problem you might experience.
It takes an awful lot of continuous hard driving to need bigger brakes.

However... if you feel you really need/want bigger brakes you could track down some ST202/206 superstrut brakes and adapt them to your car (presuming it's not S/S already). My best guess is that you might have to reduce the disk diameter by 5 to 10mm and make a spacer to centre the superstrut twinpot calipers.
ALSO - try to get the brake bias valve off the superstrut donor and maybe the brake booster as well.
These mods might need to be certified!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
