Postby bluemaumau » Wed Feb 21, 2007 8:54 pm

ok just bout to get the ze going again and i go to bleed the system with the afm, and the bottom union of my fuel filter (brand new) is seriously dribbling fuel!

are these supposed to have a washer on the bottom? (between bolt and filter)

i know the top has one on either side of the banjo bolt

Usually all fittings (well ones i've seen) have a small copper o-ring and when its missing they make a terrible mess!

Should have a washer between the bolt and union (on the top) and between the union and filter. So two washers.

all e.f.i. toyotas have a threaded fitting which is on the end of the flared fitting on the fuel line. Faulty flare at the end of the fuel line
It'd either be faulty threads in the fitiing, faulty threads in the filtyer. Have you tried to undo the fitting and it seized , then you thought flag it i'll do that later?? Common occurence i've found is the fitting seizes when you undo it and it's a real mission to try to tighten it up again.
