Boost controller for Twin Turbos

Postby Emz » Mon Feb 26, 2007 1:50 pm

How would an electronic boost controller be installed on a sequential twin turbo car?

I'm not looking for specifics on how to actually go about putting one in, I'm more wondering about it in general. For example - would you have to just choose one turbo to control the boost on and leave the other one alone?? :?

IIRC the 2JZ-GTE only has 1 actuator that controls both turbos. So you should be able to hook the EBC up just like you would on a single turbo car by connecting to the actuator. EBC doesn't affect how the sequential turbos function, only the amount of boost.

When we did it we just tee's the line out from the boost solenoid to the two actuators.

You have to ensure that both the actuators are the same pressure and both set with the same preload.

That's on a non sequential trye twin turbo setup.
