Mag wheel curbing :/

Hey there,
just wondering if theres any easy way possible (other than machining) to remove abit of curbing on my wheels (note to self: never let the other 1/2 drive
Also when i brought the car, 2 on the inner centre caps seem to have came off, and at some point have tried to be glued back on, is there anyway that you can do this without further damaging them?

Depends how severe it is really. At work we generally send em away to the professionals however if the damage is fairly minor we can sometimes just peel the tyre off and buff the area.

I've read before that it involves removing the tire, sanding the curb'd part down a bit, use a form of putty to refill the curb'd part, sand and repaint.

Or you can just send it away to get it fixed for a $100, which is more than reasonable.

If it is minor, either file it out so it is not noticeable or use body filler for minor rashes from what I read. Problem comes when you are trying to match paint colour... What I did with mine is I just repainted the whole rim with duplicolor wheel paint.

yuck dont use duplicolor what you need to do is take the wheel off, clean it up properly, then use a sander or die grinder (depends on the size of the hucks out of it) mag wheels can be shaped using 80 grit just dont put to much weight on the sander it will give a warped shape whe you are done. once you have the wheel sanded back to the metal (be sure to sand l/r and go longer than the damage) get some poo from any where and mix it up dont put it on thick and just fill the scratch. then go to car coluours and get some real paint (2k primer and base/clear) if you dont have guns etc then take it to any carpainter and have them match the colour to your other wheels and leave it with them they shouldnt charge much if you have it already repaired just need paint like 50 bucks if that.
