Ae111 Levin 95 BZG Lowered Springs Problem (Rattle)

Postby lost247 » Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:18 pm

Hi I have a 95 BZG Ae111 Levin Superstrut. I bought some lower springs from mag and turbo that drop it down 35mm.

The Springs rattle on ruff road. Only the rear. Its Quite wierd. the springs seem to be tight and dont move when its lowered down.
But it still makes a loud rattle on ruff road.

Is there anything i can do to fix this.
any help would be great thanks.

Might be your rear sway bar bushes are shot dude. They seem to be a common problem with these cars.

Grab the rear sway bar and try and move side to side (passangers side to drivers side) and if there is movement then your bushes need replacing.

could be the coils of the spring smacking together

or at 35mm drop, the bottom of the car hitting things!

yep thats a good idea. fix a rattle on one of my cars

trd coils come with plastic on them to seperate the coils

you cut the garden hose into 20mm strips and slot about 5 or 10 on to stop the coils touching
