Yea , you can run intercoolers suck though , Why you would though is a different story  . Intercoolers are to remove the heat gained by the air being compressed in the turbo , air before the turbo will be ambient temp already unless your sucking it from by the motor (not good ).
This explains why they are called INTERcoolers , and not PREcoolers .

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Well technically no, intercoolers are supposed to be between multi-stage charging systems, what most people call an intercooler is actually an aftercooler

Anyway the idea of a cooler before the turbo just sucks, literally. Even if you could cool the ambient air to say 0°C, the turbo would still heat it up to 100°C+, which would be too hot for engine reliability.

Cooling systems work best when there is a large difference between the cooling medium and the substance been cooled. So the most logical place to put them is where it is hottest, in this case after the turbo.

I though he was meaning carby -> turbo -> cooler -> engine ?

Not cooler -> carby -> turbo -> engine

As most (all?) suck through systems leave out the cooler, as I would assume the fuel would start to condense into a liquid again, and wouldn't run properly. Because you need the heat with carbys to keep the fuel atomised.

Any way... thats how I saw the question :?

Yea thats how I saw it, no good as fuel condenses in the intercooler, also with suckthrough carb the turbo mixes and compresses the fuel really nicely so one miss fire and you'll blow the intercooler joins off

Firstly, that would have no point at all with intercooler before turbo
Secondly, thats not a suck-through setup
