Carina TA60, AA60... weight?

I just wanted to know which is the average weight of a rwd carina?

cause in official toyota brochures it says 990kgs with the 2T.

But it seems like to be more?

I didnt know they were under a tonne from factory. Sweet!

Yeah mine seemed way 'heavier' than my SW20 when I drove it, but I think that was thanks to the suspension and a few other things more than actual weight.

Either way, factory figures are unreliable, because there are a lot of variables. The only way to know for sure, is to get your own car weighed.

My AA63 Carina 3 door - factory 4age, T50 gearbox, IRS (independant rear suspension). Weighed 1060kg with full interior and aircon.
I guess that a AA60 might weigh a bit less with 3a motor, simpler intake and solid rear axle.
