4agze into dx corolla, help!

Postby raddies » Wed Apr 11, 2007 11:52 am

hey guys, just joined up. . It currently has a bluetop injected 4-age in it, goes well but after a tad more power, Best and easist bet would be a 4agze. so got some questions for u lot...

1, would i keep origanl loom an plug that into a ze comp then just ad the nessacery wires an plugs for the supercharger

2, ive heard from some people the the supercharger unit can come down an hit the engine mount on th induction side, is this true? if so how to combat this?

3, What would be the best an easiest model of 4agze to get for this conversion or will it not matter?

Thanks heaps dudes an will keep u guys posted with pics an all that, chur

straight up, the best option would be to turbo the bluetop.

Yeah right. there is way more to it than that. The wiring itself would be enough of a mission to make me go turbo instead of S/c

Believe so,
would require a custom made mount which will need to pass cert

All pretty much the same to mount.

AW11 GZE has a dist not multi coil so may be closer to what you have now.

How much are you planning on spending?

Yeah turbo the Bluey.
Have a look at the GarageDori website
http://www.garagedori.com/tech/index.php

They have done quite a bit with turboed Stock Bluetops. With stock ECU and injectors as well! That's good for a bit more power as you have said you want. They were getting around 115kw at wheels with a T25, stock ECU, stock 182cc injectors, and base timing of about 6 degrees. Not bad for a stock Bluetop.

If you want more, go for a Link ECU and 4AGZE injectors or 440s and more boost.

should read : there are more differences between a GZE ECU and a bluetop ECU than just the supercharger wires.

Is that a bit more tech orientated??
