Tyre Question

Postby haydo » Wed Apr 11, 2007 9:14 pm

I bought some second hand 15" yokohama tyres and mags.

The tyres are rotational are too.

Since the new mags the actual ride within the car seems really rough and slighty noisy. I'm pretty sure its the tyres as they seem a lot harder rubber and seem rather dry. I also noticed some cracks in between some of the tread lines, probably due to the dryness of the tyres? Do you think the replacing the tyres would help produce a more comfortable and quieter ride?

I'm not a tyre expert but yeah.

the lower the profile of a tyre (its height from ground to bottom of rim) The noiser and harsher the ride is going to be.

Got a pic? From what you've described tho, the tyres are a bit past it and if they aren't soft, they won't stop too well. Cracks are bad.
