4agze DLI

Postby ze-fighter » Wed Apr 18, 2007 6:52 pm

Ok, just got my car back from Counties Toyota. They mentioned this one thing about my distributor needing the O Ring replaced. I replied that I have coil packs. They then told me it would be a signal generator o ring that needs replacing instead.

Iv done a search, but it doesnt really cover that much about DLI o rings?

Any help is much appreciated.

Brad.

It's just a simple unbolt. replace o ring. bolt on. then time the engine.

Takes about 30min at most if you have a timing light a small peice of wire and a 12mm spaner.

If you want more help or what ever just ask 8)

Dunno about the DLI, but with the bluetops its usually the shaft seal inside the distributor thats leaking.

But just replace the o-ring and see

if I was doing it i'd first pull the cap off the CAS and mark it like a normal dist as they can be a bastard to time as there is nothing you can see and the drive turns as you pull it out and push it back in.

That would be a very good idea if you've never done one before.
