Link ecu - getting stock tach working with wasted?

Postby AceSniper » Mon Apr 23, 2007 4:40 pm

Been running a link lem for awhile now and want to use mitsi wasted spark setup, iv used a mitsi 4cyl and a 6cyl igniter with a tach output wire in the plug but the signal wont even make the stock tach flinch also link tach output does nothing.

How can I get my stock tach working with the link and wasted spark with out blowing alot of $$$, most people say use a vr4 tach adaptor but I havent been able to find one and dont know what they look like (pics, part numbers anyone?) but I thought the mitsi igniter output would be the same signal?

To make it work with the Link tacho output you might need to whip your tacho out and jump out the resistor divider input. Basically they have them if they car originally drove the tacho off the coil, instead of the ECU, it just drops the coil voltage down to something sensible for the tacho.

Cheers
