****4agze bigport with tvis?*****

Postby corolla gt » Mon Apr 30, 2007 6:30 pm

hi this might be a bit of a dumb question for people that know alot about 4agze motors but.....

i was wondering i have just brought a 4agze big port motor and i was thinking would i be able 2 use my tvis manifold on insteed of the supercharged one?

they are both bigport so i guess they fit..but im not shore if it would work like maybe there are other bits on the supercharged manifold that i need?

most important question of all!! what are you doing with the engine?

i'll be using a bigport bluetop inlet manifold - with tvis butterflies - on my aw11 4agze which has a bigport head. i'll be turboing it though, so no need for the standard supercharged manifold etc.

unless you want to do alot of fabrication, you have to use the s/c manifold.

id like to see a gze with another manifold, ther are probley good gains in usuing another manifold, but fabrication would be difficult and time consuming.

unless you have a welder and all the gear

I've seen a ae85 with a 4agze running the rwd bigport inlet while still retaining the supercharger. Looked pretty good actually.

its alot easier to do in a rwd as the s/c can be tilted backwards, wereas a fwd has a firewall to contest with
