There are additives that claim to prevent seal leaks. But at best that only postpones the day when the pump will have to be repaired. At worst, if the injection system is not working properly, you'll be creating more air pollution. Additives cannot restore worn parts.
If you get the pump fully serviced now, you should avoid smoke problems later (unless the engine is worn and already burning oil). Getting the injection system to work at its best can improve fuel economy, so you could save money in the long run.
