Exhaust Gasket

Postby Luke28 » Sat May 12, 2007 7:24 pm

My aftermarket exhaust bolts upto the catty, but where it bolts up, both flanges are flat.. unlike the standard exaust where it has a lip on the flange that the ring gasket slips over. can i get a gasket that will go between the 2 flat flanges? or do i have to change one of the flanges?

Cheers!! -Luke

put a bit of paper against it and get an imprint of the shape, then take that into supa cheap/repco etc and they shud be able to give you a flat type gasket to fit.

Get a piece of cardboard, and COAT it in maniseal and then just bolt it up tight.

Won't leak.

Or, go buy one. Chances are it will be a metal type gasket.
