Draglink and relay rods..

hey guys,
need to get some a drag link and relay rod made up for the cruiser, does anyone know what materials would be best to use; ie, chromoly or steel tube?

and what size, i was thinking either probably 1" or maybe 3/4" inch?

and would any engineer be able to make it up? or wil i have to go somewhere specific.
