thrust bearing kp 60 4k 5 speed

can any one help with telling me how the two clips go that hold in bearing in place looks to me as they go top and bottom? the hook part going towards input shaft? does this sound right also when you replace bearing do you buy whole lot or do you hav 2 press out old piece that gos into bearing and get new 1 pressed in any info would be great thanks
