bolt on silencer

Postby avinesh » Sun Jul 08, 2007 3:01 pm

i have got a full 3" exhaust on my 1jzgte soarer twin turbo with intercooler an intake, it started hitting boost cut after exhaust so i fitted a bolt on silencer at the tip of the muffler the ones that usually come with the mufflers, question is do these harm the turbo in any way maybe by causing too much back pressure, it reduces the 3" system to about 1.5" at the back (tip of the muffler)

just dont try run lots of boost with the restrictor in, it'll make the car run rich if it's tuned for the not having it in there. i'd say max 14-15psi with it in
