Toyota Windom Central Locking

Hey there,
I just hadda mate txt me before telling me that they have locked there keys in the car on saturday night, went and hadda look before and trying peeling the rubber and using a coat hanger to flick the inside of the lock to get it open with no avil.
Any ideas? (bearing in mind he doesnt got aa roadside assist, and its a sunday/needing the car for work tomorrow?)

are the locks on the inside the up / down button types on the top of the door, or the back and foward types next to the inside handle? if its the latter, you may be able to slide a coathanger past the door rubbers and flick the lock back

has worked for me in the past on various corollas

Im not sure if all windoms are the same but my dads 97 windoms has windows without the frames and if yours is also like this then you may be able to get a long wire in there and pull the handle.

I did exactly that when I locked the keys into my cusins celica which also has frameless windows.

You have to pry the window out and get a long wire (bend the end into a hook) in there to pull the handle, when the handle gets pulled from the inside the lock unlocks at the same time. Some minor damage to the rubber and position of the windo may occur but its not to much of a big deal.

Just so im in the right place, u slide it down the side where the window joins / roughly the same area where the door lock is?

I'm not sure if u are talking about sliding the wire in where the window goes into the door as in the bottom of the window but what I'm saying is that u can pry the actual window open and away from the car body if u have frameless windows and get the wire to the interior handle.

I put the wire in from the top left corner (its easiest to pry the window from there), then push the wire in about 40cm or so (enough to reach the interior handle/lock). Then I slid it down the left hand side of the window to about half way to get a better angle.

You need a stiff wire and have to design the hook so you can get in behind the handle and using a twisting action of the wire (you'll porbably need to make a handle on the side of the wire you are holding so you can do the twisting action easily) get the handle out a little. Now with the hook on the handle pull the wire backwards to pull the handle back and that should be enough to open the door.
