I'm not sure if u are talking about sliding the wire in where the window goes into the door as in the bottom of the window but what I'm saying is that u can pry the actual window open and away from the car body if u have frameless windows and get the wire to the interior handle.
I put the wire in from the top left corner (its easiest to pry the window from there), then push the wire in about 40cm or so (enough to reach the interior handle/lock). Then I slid it down the left hand side of the window to about half way to get a better angle.
You need a stiff wire and have to design the hook so you can get in behind the handle and using a twisting action of the wire (you'll porbably need to make a handle on the side of the wire you are holding so you can do the twisting action easily) get the handle out a little. Now with the hook on the handle pull the wire backwards to pull the handle back and that should be enough to open the door.
