lucida diesel

Postby the fallen303 » Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:07 pm

ok, so this is a bit out there. have a lucida van with a 2ct diesel turbo, and thinking it needs a bit more oomf. the 2ct is the 2l and the 3ct is the 2.2? from what i've found the difference in cc is in the stroke, so was wondering if it is possible to swap the crank/rods/etc from the 3ct into the 2ct block? if this is a no go, is there any diesel engines that can be swapped in? apparently the 2ct lays on it's side? so it's difficult to swap in different engines? i guess this would rule out the 3l from a surf, but would that also rule out the 3l from the hiaces?

bit of a long shot, but hey, always wanna go faster

You wouldnt get bugger all power out of 200ccs for all that effort... wouldnt it be easier to intercool it? if its not, maybe bigger turbo and wind up the fuel a bit?

well, i cant see any real possibilities that dont involve some decent fabrication....
the C motors are no where near being powerhouses... and fitting any other toyota diesel in there wont be easy at all.

id sell it and buy a s/c petrol one. or a later model with the engine in a sensible place
