4agze Flooding

Postby z0ton » Sun Jul 08, 2007 9:18 pm

I'm currently trying to get my 4agze going but having a bit of trouble starting it up...

Theres a few pics of it here : viewtopic.php?t=57706

I'm getting fuel and spark but it flooded real bad (there was like a cm of fuel on top of the pistons :().

Anyone know why it would do that? I'm getting the impression that my injectors are possibly stuffed but what are the chances of all 4 stuffing out at the same time...

Any ideas?

when you wired it up, did you accidently earth the injectors out constantly?

ive seen that happen before - the engine floods with fuel, then if you disconnect the pump or injectors and crank the engine over it slowly burns the fuel away until it can fire up then will run off the fuel thats in the bores until it runs out...

I'll check that tomorrow. We stopped the fuel coming through by turning off the pump and unplugging the injectors and it sure did burn it out. Flames came out the intake...

Got it started tonight. Timing was out a few teeth and the main problem was 2 injectors are stuffed. Put some 4age ones in just to start it and it worked.

Hey, Aren't GE and GZE injectors different resistances?? I had to use some ballast resistors to wire up my Link ECU.

Please correct if that's wrong.

sorry, I should have worded differently:
according to the chart there are some low and some high resistance injectors for the ge, so some would be compatable with the ze
