auto trans jerk

I know that it is difficult to diagnose transmission problems on the net but any rough idea what might be the cause for a transmission to shift harshly from neutral to Drive or Reverse when stationary?

When vehicle is stationary. I have handbrake and brakes on and put transmission to neutral. when I shift to drive, the car tries to move forward and I could hear a soft click/thump sound from the transmission area in the engine. Looking at the movements of the engine, it seems abrupt and jerks into placed compared to my other vehicle which is gentler.

Also gives out a single loudish thump sound which can be recreated and be felt. while vehicle moving, I let off gas completely for a second or until I feel a shift of weight(?) and then get back onto the gas slightly quicker than usual. A thump would be heard.

Any ideas? Front and rear engine mounts changed. Fluid level fine and is a healthy pink/red colour with no burnt smell. Car drives good otherwise with no problems shifting. I can get on the gas gently at first(split second) and then floor it and it will not have any thump.

This is a FWD car.

Apparently an internal leak can cause this, but high idles can too.

Already changed mounts. Idle is low, happens below 1000rpm
