4AGE B/T cold idle/start issues

Just got a new gearbox into the MR2.
So i go to start it and its real hard to start.
when it does start it idles at 500 rpm.
I if touch the gas it dies straight away.
After it gets a little warm it runs fine just like normal

Does anyone have a idea?
has this happened to someone before?

checked the temp sensors? and wiring for them?

sounds like it could be dodgy cold start function

i have check the contacts on sensors but havent gone as far as to see if any wires broke but ill do that today. maybe when the box was out it stretched the loom a little.

has to be something to do with temp and cold start.
